A tale of two entries

Filed under: knitting, life in general — Marie @ 2:31 pm

So, I was going to write an entry about how proud of myself I was that I managed to keep to the couch-to-5k program I started this week and how using a little post-it solved the problem of reading the wrong row in the short row rib pattern (duh). But life just kept getting in the way and I thought perhaps I should write a life-is-crazy-don’t-be-surprised-if-I-don’t-post-much entry instead.

I’ve hardly been knitting; I think I did two repeats on the scarf last weekend. Woot – maybe one hour of knitting. I feel like I need the knitting to relax, but first I have to figure out how I’m going to juggle classes, two (maybe three, or a grant proposal) research projects, an overdue book review, a conference presentation, revising my thesis for publication, and work. Not to mention the usual day-to-day stuff! Once I get my schedule under control, I hope I’ll have more knitting progress to show off here. Give me a few weeks, though, and I’ll try to post at least once a month!

  1. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Blogging and knitting should be relaxing, not a “to-do”. You’ll figure out how to hit the right balance. If you need anything just give me a shout.
